For the past couple weeks, Raleigh Little Theatre has hosted movie night in it’s Louise “Scottie” Stephenson Amphitheatre for the Movies in the Garden series. On Thursday, the movie will be “The Sound of Music.”
The movies, which are free to attend, are family-friendly and either rated G, PG or PG-13. There will be food trucks, concessions and adult beverages from Raleigh Brewing available for purchase.
Movies start at 8:30 p.m., with concessions and food trucks open at 7 p.m.
Previous movies included “La La Land” and “Cinderella.” The final movie in the series will be “Hidden Figures,” showing August 10.
We had so much fun at #MoviesInTheGarden this past Thursday! Thanks to #Cinderella and #Moana for joining us and all the families who came out to enjoy the movie. Just two more left this summer - #SoundOfMusic this Thursday and #HiddenFigures next week #freeevents #outdoormovie #raleigh #rosegarden #picoftheday #princessparty #familyfun
What a great turnout for "La La Land" last week! We've added a second truck for "Cinderella" this week - El Rey del Taco. Also, if you're looking for parking tips in the neighborhood, consider downloading the Live It Up! On Hillsborough Street app (http://app.hillsboroughstreet.org/). There is a lot of parking available after hours at NC State and it's just a few blocks away from the amphitheater. Aerial photo courtesy of Ryan Hatton (https://500px.com/ryanhatton). See you on Thursday! #freeevents #freemovie #raleigh #rosegarden #outdoormovie
